Born William Thomas Walk in Indiana, U.S.A., along the great Ohio River, Tom's roots were influenced by Kentucky bluegrass & Country music as well as the 60's and early 70's folk rock music from America where he grew up and began playing professionally after the usual high school garage bands. He began to travel throughout U.S. in early 70`s and then to the Caribbean Islands, Central & South America, then to Asia including playing in China . Polygram Artist together with Ethan Alan Hawke and Keith Yokam in an American trio in Argentina in the 80`s called HARP playing his own original songs. Came to Europe in 1992, where he met up with long time musician friend Tom Rohm whom he knew from Argentina in the early 80's. He has been playing solo and with band "The Screw" also known as Tom`s Crew in southern Austria for the last 12 years.
In the Solo Show are hits by the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan, John Denver, CCR, Simon and Garfunkel, just to name a few as well as Tom's own original songs! Playing as a One Man Band with Tom's own studio backups or unplugged with acoustic guitar and harmonica can be arranged for your special events.
Acoustic multi-instrumentalist Mickey Novak has brought Tom back to his bluegrass roots with a unique mixture of folk rock songs from the 60`s and 70`s performed bluegrass style with banjo, mandolin, dobro and other typical American country musical instruments. Rock out to great hits by your favorite artists from Dire Straits to Santana with Mickey on electric guitar!
Tom is performing an Elvis Double Show with early Rock & Roll music by the King of Rock & Roll. Show can be with backup system or a complete band according to your price budget!
Recently releasing a CD with "Tom Rohm and the Screw", Tom sings lead vocals and plays bass guitar with this quartet. Two of Tom's songs "Change the World" and "Blue Morning" are on the CD. Check the link for more info about the band!
